My Day As A Fashion Model

Yes.....underneath the five layers of foundation and carefully teased and aerosol sprayed hair, is me.  If Halloween weren't two weeks away, I would've kept my hair the way it was and gone as the bride of Frankenstein or a deranged clown.  It actually took me 30 minutes to brush out the knots and half a bottle of conditioner to get my hair back to normal.

But it was all for a good cause and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

The British Women's Association, Dhaka American Women's Club, and SAARC Women's Association hosted a fashion show to benefit breast cancer awareness and palliative care for Bangladeshi women.  There were three Bangladeshi designers and one American designer, Ellen London.  Several ladies from the Dhaka community were asked to model some of Ellen's clothes.  Who knew you could be a 5'4", 35-year-old model with wrinkles and sunspots (I suppose that's what all the make-up was for)?!?!  Although it was a little intimidating walking down a runway next to real drop dead gorgeous Bangladeshi models, I am happy to have been a part of it.
