Dhaka Bus Tour
Normally when Robbie and I are travelling, we tend to stay away from organized bus tours. We used to poke fun at the tourists as they got off the bus with their big sunglasses, sun hats, white socks and white sneakers, and cameras hanging from their necks. Well this time, we were the tourists. The CLO (Community Liaison Officer) Office organized a tour for all the newcomers to Dhaka. Honestly, it was a great way to see some of the major sights without the hassle of trying to navigate through the city with the insane traffic on our own. We were worried that it would be too long of a day for the kids, but they did very well and had fun running around with the other kids on the trip. Here are some of the highlights.......

Entering Shankharia Bazar a.k.a. Hindu alley
Making chopati
Man making flower garlands
Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace)
Dhakeswari Hindu Temple (The statues are recreated every year and tossed in the river as an offering.)
Lalbagh Fort
Parliament Building
