Pitstop in Dubai

Knowing the kids would probably need a break from sitting on the airplane, we spent a night in Dubai so that everyone could swim and relax a little before the last leg of our trip to Dhaka.  We didn't have a lot of time so we decided to stay at the Atlantis since they have the beach, pool, and aquarium all in one place.

The kids had a blast of course.  They were having so much that they didn't even notice how brutally hot it was.....seriously, it was HOT, like 120 degrees hot.  Not only was it hot, but it was humid, so it felt more like 140.  And it didn't feel any cooler in the evening.  But it was still nice to be off the plane and walking around.

Mason and Cadyn were incredible on the flights.....I mean, there was absolutely no whining or crying!  Even people sitting around us were impressed (and relieved) at how well they behaved.  Unfortunately, we were diverted at 3am to Frankfurt unexpectedly because of radar and mechanical issues and after sitting on the runway for 2 hours (with the rudest flight attendants we've ever encountered), we were finally told that our flight was canceled.  Normally, we'd probably be annoyed but because the kids were happy and entertaining themselves, we felt pretty calm about the whole thing.  Our flight wouldn't leave until the next morning, but United gave us a free hotel room and meals and we were able to change our reservations in Dubai.

The only thing we have to worry about now is Jax.....let's hope they deliver the right dog to us!
