Pocono Mountains Half Ironman

After competing in the Age-Group National Championship in Burlington, VT in August, Robbie decided he was ready to try something a little more challenging...a half-ironman. The whole family drove up to the Pocono Mountains to cheer him on.



It had rained so much that the swim portion of the race was canceled because of the rising water levels. You'd think that the race would be easier. Nope. Not only was the course steep and windy, they were wet and covered with debris which meant a greater chance of a wipe out or a flat tire. Luckily, Robbie made it through without any issues.



The kids were so good about cheering Daddy on and it really inspired Robbie to race harder which is probably why he almost collapsed at the finish line. Just kidding. He didn't feel that bad but he was pretty tired. We're very proud of you Dad and we love you so much!
